Headquartered in Japan, the Pola Orbis Group is one of the world’s largest beauty manufacturers, with over six million customers worldwide and annual sales of more than $1.8 billion.
In November 2011, Pola entered the Australian market, acquiring skincare brand Jurlique.
Pola’s personalised consultation is the hallmark of our business. According to WWD Beauty, Pola was ranked at the 30th largest beauty manufacturer in the world (in 2007).
Late founder of the Pola Orbis Group, Mr Suzuki Tsuneshi (1930-2000), was also a great lover of the arts and his impressive personal collection, featuring over 9500 pieces collected over a lifetime, is now housed in the POLA Museum of Art.
Opened in 2002, the POLA Museum is the embodiment of Pola’s corporate ethic ‘to contribute to the prosperity and advancement of society through its work in the world of health and beauty’, with art as a vital part of that health and beauty.
Significant time and resources have been dedicated to this museum. The museum is discrete and fits harmoniously within the surrounding landscape of the Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park, with much of the museum underground.
